Why Join Robertson PTO

The number one reason to join the Parent Teacher Organization is to benefit your children. In doing so, you also help your school. However, there are many more advantages. Here are just a few:

  •  Get Connected. There is no better way to know what is happening in your school.
  •  Discover Great Resources. The PTO offers a variety of programs designed for parents and students.
  •  Tap into a Network. Parenting is not easy—it helps to share ideas, concerns and experiences with other parents and educators in the community.
  •  Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTO, you gain valuable experiences. It is an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause.
  •  Speak Up. Because the PTO is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. PTO can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school, and paid membership grants you voting rights.
  •  Witness Improvement. By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes.
  •  Be a Role Model. You’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
  •  Enjoy Substantial Benefits. Individuals and local units can take advantage of a host of member benefits!

What is the PTO

The Parent Teacher Organization, or PTO, was created for the purpose of bringing a clearer understanding between the home and the school so that parents/guardians and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education and activities of the children in an effort to secure for the students the most efficient physical, mental, social, and ethical education possible.

The PTO is made up of several officers as well as our wonderful school staff and volunteers. There is an Executive Board and body of voting members, and the PTO could not run without the help and dedication of our many Committee Chairs and their committee members! Please reach out if you are interested in helping with our Committees!
